About Ashley Watson

Ashley Watson, FNP-C, is the founder of Watson Wound Care and a dedicated healthcare provider with over 18 years of nursing experience, including nine years as a nurse practitioner. Her background includes seven years working in the emergency department, where she developed strong clinical judgment and a passion for hands-on, procedural care.

For the past seven years, Ashley has focused exclusively on wound care, treating a wide range of conditions including surgical wounds, burns, infected wounds, diabetic ulcers, and venous and arterial ulcers. She offers comprehensive, advanced treatments such as debridement, incision and drainage, compression dressings, negative pressure wound therapy (wound vacs), cautery, and skin grafting.

Ashley is known for combining clinical excellence with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. She believes that healing goes beyond the wound itself—taking time to understand each patient’s needs, lifestyle, and goals is central to her care.

A proud Virginia native, Ashley was born in Richmond and raised in Virginia Beach. She attended three different colleges across Virginia to earn her degrees, reflecting her strong commitment to education and growth. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach with her family and staying active.

Ashley graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor’s in Nutrition, Marymount University with a Bachelor’s in Nursing, and South University with a Master’s in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner).

Through Watson Wound Care, Ashley is committed to improving outcomes, preventing complications, and helping patients heal with dignity and confidence.
